“Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.” – Ephesians 4:2
Brian and Rachel’s love story began as friends, and grew into something spectacular that drew them closer to Christ and each other. They met at a Christmas party through friends from a small group. Rachel and Julie were in a small group together also, and she told her “We just kept hanging out with each other and had so much fun and then dating just slowly happened.” We had such a blast at their engagement session and we knew right then and there we wouldn’t be able to contain our excitement in July.
When Brian proposed he surprised Rachel on Christmas night with a piano concert, a Christmas tree, candles, candy and presents. Brian is an incredibly talented musician, and you’ll see that he even played a special song for Rachel right after their first look (one of our many favorite parts of their day).
They were both so giddy and full of joy when their big day arrived! We had not shot at Highlands Chapel yet, but it is most definitely one of the loveliest chapels around! Rachel had her girls gathered around her in pastel turquoise dresses and in true Southern style “everything is monogrammed” …right down to Rachel’s pedicure (which had us rolling). Rachel wanted to have a first look and share a special moment with her dad and brother before she saw Brian. So sweet ya’ll.
Brian and his groomsmen had us cracking up with their poses and goofiness. It was a total atmosphere of anticipation!
When Brian saw Rachel for the first time his expression was perfect!! He was speechless for several seconds and just kept saying “Wow!”… and we totally agree, Rachel was breath taking! Brian played a song on the piano for Rachel and we just love the way Rachel looks at him with adoration.
During their ceremony, which Brian’s father officiated, Rachel and Brian invited their guest to worship with them. Afterwards, there was nothing but dancing, dancing and more DANCING! Rachel even surprised her groom and guests with a choreographed dance routine during their Father-Daughter dance. For their send off, they were “sprinkled” with love as their guest tossed colorful sprinkles on them!
We were so humbled and honored they choose us to capture their truly beautiful wedding day and we wish you the utmost joy and happiness in your marriage!
