Joseph and Katelyn told us at their engagement session that they wanted their wedding day to be a big party, and they were not lying! Their families traveled from Georgia and Mississippi to be a part of their big day and we felt the exciting party-ready atmosphere from the moment we entered the room where Katelyn was getting ready.
Joseph and Katelyn met through mutual friends a few years back. Katelyn told us that Joe proposed by taking a picnic with them and their dogs out on their boat (which they were selling the next day) as a last “boat ride”. At sunset, Joseph proposed and Katelyn said that was one of the most perfect sunsets she has ever witnessed. He gave her a family heirloom diamond from France that had been in his family for generations.
Katelyn wanted to honor her mother in law, and wore her cathedral length veil at the ceremony as her “something borrowed” and then changed to a vintage birdcage veil for their fun reception. Joseph and Katelyn said their “I do’s” under the beautiful oak tree at Applewood Farms in early June…they were surrounded by shades of blush and ivory and the joy was overwhelming as Joseph saw his bride coming down the aisle for the first time. And even though the rain blew in (and knocked the power out twice) they did not let it ruin their glow-light party as they danced the night away with music from The Neapolitan Band.
We could not be happier to share this wedding with you all and congratulations again Mr. and Mrs. Edens!
